I grew up in Nesbit, but now live in Southaven with my husband Cody, who is a fire lieutenant for the City of Memphis, and our two children. Laine will be in 8th grade and Charleigh Grace will be in 7th grade this year at Lewisburg Middle. They are the loves of our lives and we enjoy spending every moment with them.

Here’s a little bit more information on my educational background. I graduated from the University of Mississippi in December of 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I plan to begin the Masters program in a few years, and continuing my education throughout my teaching career.

I am also a huge sports fan! I played softball in high school, and I love watching football in the fall. ROLL TIDE!! I also love listening to all types of music. I believe music is also important in the classroom, and I try to incorporate it into my students learning.

In my classroom I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. I value the cooperation and collaboration in my classroom, as I work with my peers, and as I interact with parents. I believe GREAT things can happen when we work together.

I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for us!!
